There’s been intense speculation on whether Ranbir Kapoor is dating Alia Bhatt with the paparazzi following the couple’s every move. Both Ranbir and Alia have neither confirmed nor denied rumours on their relationship. Alia, however, took to Instagram on Saturday to almost confirm that she was in love with Ranbir. Her actress mother Soni Razdan too joined her to wish the Sanju star on his birthday.
Sharing Ranbir Kapoor’s photo, Alia wrote, “happy birthday you.” She ended her post with cake and sparkles emojis.
No sooner did she post Ranbir’s photo, her mother Soni Razdan too took wrote, “Happy Birthday.”
Razdan’s comments prompted many to declare Ranbir as the former’s son-in-law. One user wrote, “Your son-in-law is a Shikari (hunter).” Another wrote, “You son-in-law is a dude.” “What did you gift your son-in-law?” asked another user. Another user wrote, “Now even mother-in-law has also wished.”
Last year, Ranbir had almost confessed to being in love with Alia claiming that even water tasted like sharbat (juice). Ranbir was in conversation with Anupama Chopra, whose husband Vidhu Vinod Chopra is the co-producer of his upcoming film Sanju. Chopra asked, “You seem to fall in love a lot. Does it complicate the craft ever?”
Far from being unfazed by her question, Ranbir said that being in love only contributed to his craft. He said, “Falling in love is the greatest thing in the world. When you fall in love, everything is great. Water tastes like sherbet and you seem like you are Uma Thurman. You feel great. Who doesn’t wanna be in love?”
More recently, Ranbir Kapoor’s heart-wrenching speech while accepting the Best Actor award during this year’s Zee Cine Awards in April had left Alia Bhatt in tears. Alia was inconsolable as Ranbir dedicated his award to Dad Rishi Kapoor and mother Neetu Singh.
Ranbir celebrated his 37th birthday with Alia Bhatt and mother Neetu Kapoor. Both Ranbir and Alia will be seen together in their upcoming film Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, scheduled to be released in December this year.
