Several killed in Swiss shooting

Reports say that many people have died in a shooting in the Swiss town of Wuerenlingen.

Police say that the gunfire could be heard at a residential building, north-west of Zurich.

They’ve discovered many dead bodies lying outside the building. The reason for this shooting and other circumstances are not yet clear but those dead are all believed to be adults.

Witnesses told local media that they heard three gunshots within space of 20 minutes. A police spokesperson told a local radio that he believed the shooter too was among the dead.

Police have started investigating the matter.

Würenlingen, which is northwest of Zurich, is home to a population of 4,500 people.
