Virat Kohli on Thursday hit an unbeaten century as India defeated Bangladesh by seven wickets in the ongoing World Cup.

Bangladesh had set a target of 259 in 50 overs. Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj and Ravindra Jadeja shared two wickets each.

India achieved the target by losing just three wickets and 8.3 overs to spare. Kohli, who became the fastest player to score 26,0deja 00 runs in international cricket, remained not out at 103 from 97 balls.

This was India’s fourth straight win this World Cup and today’s victory means that the hosts are now top of the points table with New Zealand, who too have won all four matches. The Kiwis beat Afghanistan by 149 runs in their last match on Wednesday.
