New Zealand on Monday thrashed the Netherlands by runs to register their second consecutive win in the ongoing cricket World Cup in India.

Batting first, the Black Caps piled up a total of 322-7 in 50 overs with Will Young, Rachin Ravindra and Tom Latham scoring impressive fifties. However, it was Mitchell Santner’s 17-ball 37 runs that helped the Kiwis go past 300.

The Netherlands never looked comfortable in their run chase and eventually bowled out for 223 runs in 46.3 overs, losing the match by 99 runs.

Santner picked up five wickets for 51 in his quota of 10 overs. Matt Henry scalped three wickets.
