Anil Kumble thinks Zaheer Khan got engaged to Sagarika Ghose, journalist says ‘sirs! Main do bachche ki ma hoon’

Former India cricketer Zaheer Khan on Monday announced his engagement with Bollywood actor and Chak De girl Sagarika Ghatge.

He took to Twitter to announce, “Never laugh at your wife’s choices. You are one of them !!! Partners for life. #engaged.”

As expected his announcement prompted many of his former Team India friends to congratulate him on the happy news.

One of them was former India skipper, Anil Kumble, who too took to Twitter to congratulate his former team-mate. But Kumble got confused between the Bollywood actor and journalist Sagarika Ghose, whom he tagged in his tweet.

His tweet said, “Congratulations, @ImZaheer and @sagarikaghose! Wishing you the very best.”

 

Realising the gaffe, Kumble soon deleted his tweet, replacing it with a new post by tagging the correct Twitter handle of the actor.

Sagarika Ghose, who’s happily married to veteran journalist and cricket enthusiast Rajdeep Sardesai, responded with humour.

She said, “oops wrong Sagarika, sirs! Main do bachche ki ma hoon?”

It seems Kumble wasn’t the only one to get confused between the two Sagarikas. Khan’s IPL team, Delhi Daredevils too posted a congratulatory message on Twitter tagging journalist Sagarika.

This was, however, enough for Twitter users to have the much-needed laugh.
