Parupalli Kashyap loses to Kento​ Momota, out of Indonesia Open

Indian badminton player Parupalli Kashyap was ousted from the Indonesia Open Super Series losing to Japan’s Momota Kento on Saturday at the Istora Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.

Kashyap lost 21-12, 17-21, 19-21 to Kento in a match that lasted over an hour. According to reports, Kashyap and Kento were battling against each other after a gap of two years. Kento had emerged victorious in their previous face-off as well.

Kashyap recorded a big win as he beat Chen Long of China to reach the Indonesia Open Super Series championship’s semi-finals at Jakarta on Friday.
