UP polls: Man goes missing after Akhilesh rally, found hanging

Badaun (UP): The body of a man who went missing yesterday after Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav addressed a UP polls rally here was found hanging from a tree in Ughaiti area in the district, the police said.

Pitam Shakya (36) of Mavali village had gone to attend Akhilesh’s rally yesterday but did not return, Superintendent of Police (Rural) Sanjay Rai said.

His body was today found hanging from a tree after which locals informed his family members and police.

The family members of the victim alleged that he did not have enmity with anyone. They suspect that he was murderd.

Police is probing the case.
