The newly appointed head of DCW, Swati Maliwal, has revealed that the Delhi Lieutenant Governor, Najeeb Jung, had told her not to ‘come to office’ starting Thursday.

She posted series of tweets on late Wednesday evening adding that she received a call from LG after she reached home.

Her tweet read, “LG sahab has called me to say I’m not required to come to office from tomorrow. All my files are being withdrawn. The office of DCW will be locked from tomorrow.”

Continuing with her tweet, she also informed that the DCW was expected to announce a probe in Meenakshi’s murder. Meenakshi had died after she was stabbed 32 times by two boys in Delhi last week.

She continued:

She concluded by saying that she was not shaken by this episode adding that “No one has succeeded in shaking my morale till date. I’ve been fighting for women’s justice in the current system for 10 years and will continue to fight even in future.

Swati Maliwal was appointed as DCW chief by the Delhi government last week and she took charge of office on Monday. Opposition parties accused the Delhi CM of nepotism, which Kejriwal has rubbished. Decribing her appoint as null and void, the Delhi LG had said that the ‘government in Delhi was Lieutenant Governor.’
