A tweet allegedly posted by the official Twitter handle of the BJP’s Maharashtra unit criticising the state’s chief minister, Devendra Fadnavis, has gone viral on social media platforms.
In the tweet, which has allegedly been deleted, the BJP Maharashtra’s official Twitter handle criticised the state government’s policy towards job creation.
It said, “More than 2 lackhs Employee required in state and @Dev_Fadnavis Government taken cut off 30% employees. #MakeInMaharashtra or #FoolInMahasrashtra (sic)”
The tweet, written in poor English, tagged, among others, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi and Sachin Pilot, a top Congress functionary in Rajasthan.
The BJP has not reacted to the tweet yet. It’s also not clear who was responsible behind this tweet. However, Congress has already seized the opportunity to embarrass the saffron party. Many of its supporters and other social media users have begun sharing the screenshot of this tweet.
