Bihar Police has landed itself in a huge controversy after it emerged that the cops had named a rape victim and stated her address on the police’s official Facebook page.

The issue has now turned into a political fight with the BJP not wasting time to embarrass the state government.

BJP leader, Nitin Navin said, ” “The procedure which should have been followed wasn’t followed. Now it will affect the evidence collection. Action should be taken against all police officers who revealed her identity.”

The JDU leader Shyam Razak said that the guilty will not be punished and the government had ordered an inquiry.

He said, “Such cases are sensitive and call for great caution. It’s a matter of investigation as to how it was leaked. Those responsible will be punished.”
