Assistant Commissioner of Police Prem Ballabh dies after jumping off 10th floor of Delhi Police HQ building

Assistant Commissioner of Police Prem Ballabh has died after jumping off the Delhi Police headquarter building in the national capital. According to reports, 53-year-old Ballabh jumped off the 10th floor of the building near ITO on Thursday morning.

Prem Ballabh was posted at the Delhi Police headquarter in the crimes and traffic unit. Police have launched an investigation.

It’s not clear why the cop decided to end his life in such a tragic manner. Police have not found any suicide note yet.

In May, a celebrated IPS officer in the Mumbai Police, Himanshu Roy, had committed suicide. An IPS officer of 1988 batch, the 54-year-old celebrated officer had shot himself in the mouth with his service revolver. He was declared dead by Bombay Hospital.
