Amidst the raging debate on what constitutes sedition, an old video of motormouth Sadhvi Prachi insulting the former Maharashtra ATS chief Hemnat Karkare has now gone viral.
A small clip of Prachi ;justifying’ the death of Karkare during a debate on News Nation channel is now fervently being shared on social media platform Facebook.
During a debate, one panelist Maulana Hussain asks Prachi, “What do you have to say about the martyr Hemant Karkare, who saved people of Mumbai from terrorist like Ajmal Kasab and who was honoured by the President with the highest bravery award?

To this, Prachi responded, “Hemant Karkare was cursed by Sadhvi Pradgya. Who says he was a martyr? woh shaheed nahi hua, Sadhvi Pragya Thakur ka sharaap laga hai use… Koi shaheed nahi hua hai. usne Sadhvi Pragya Thakur ko jail mein sadaa diya.”
Karkare, who was shot dead by the terrorist’s bullet during 26/11 attacks was leading the investigation on Malegaon blasts. Sadhvi Pragya Thakur and Lt Col Purohit were arrested by his team as prime accused in connection with Malegaon blasts.
This outrageous comment prompted many in the debate to demand her apology, but to no avail. Prachi remained adamant on her stand.
Many social media users are now asking if why Prachi should not be booked under sedition for insulting a martyr.
