Subramanian Swamy uses Arnab Goswami and ‘unelectable dog’ in one tweet, causes guessing game

The BJP Rajya Sabha MP had allegedly called the Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley a waiter last week. Swamy later denied media reports adding that the finance minister looked good in a suit.

He has appeared to have another front against Jaitley.

His one tweet mentioning the Times Now editor-in-chief, Arnab Goswami and his loyalty for an ‘unelectable for’ has left the Twitter users guessing if Swamy had meant Arun Jaitley through his ‘unelectable dog’ jibe.

Jaitley has never won an election. In the 2014 elections, he was defeated by Congress’ Capt Amrinder Singh from Amritsar.

Goswami has always been accused of being loyal to Jaitley, who is alleged to wield unusually excess control over the Times Now’s editorial.

Here’s what Swamy tweeted ‘Friends tell me Arnab G is on his show nowadays foaming in the mouth chanting Muruga Muruga. Must have been bitten by a mad unelectable dog.”

Users were quick to conclude that Swamy’s unelectable dog jibe was meant for Jaitley, while others felt that by Maruga, he had meant Modi.

But Swamy soon issued clarification.

He said, “Unelectable is term in UK canine trade for unwanted dog.”

On Maruga he said, “Muruga is a Tamil word for Subramanya.”

But it didn’t stop his followers from making their own inference.
