India’s private airlines Jet Airways has been slammed on social media for its handling of the alleged attempt to strangulate the JNU Students’ leader Kanhaiya Kumar.
JNU Students Union leader Kanhaiya Kumar on Sunday had claimed that a man attempted to strangulate him at Mumbai airport.

The young leader said that Manas was an employee of TCS and was a strong BJP supporter, who “assaulted me inside the aircraft. Is assault the only tool you have, to fight dissent?”
After www.jantakareporter.com carried the report, Jet Airways sent us the following statement.
The statement read, “Some guests on today’s Jet Airways flight 9W Mumbai to Pune have been off loaded at Mumbai airport in the interests of operational safety. At Jet Airways, the safety and security of our guests and crew is always of prime importance.”
However, the Jet Airways’ decision to offload Kanhaiya even though he was a victim of the attack, left social media users incredibly incensed. From social activist to lawyers, everyone slammed the private airlines for its utter insensitivity.

So if someone attacks me on your aircraft, you would deplane me along with attacker. https://t.co/6CVsYBuMqU

Shame @jetairways, you can't distinguish between assailant and victim of an attack!… https://t.co/SUe1oKppUk

The behaviour from @jetairways on Kanhaiya Kumar incident is questionable.

Awful behaviour by @jetairways if a passenger is attacked or a guest molested you will off-load them with the attacker? Should be sued!

@JantaKaReporter @jetairways Hope you will soon amend your skewed policy where you don't seem to differentiate between a victim & an accused
