Aam Aadmi Party’s flambouyant leader Kumar Vishwas celebrated his birthday on 10 February with a style.

Among the 500-plus guests, who turned up at a posh private party in Delhi’s Chanakyapuri on Wednesday night included some of the top names from Indian politics, entertainment and media.

They included the union minister, Ravi Shankar Prasad, former UPA minister Kamal Nath, National Security advisor, Ajit Doval, industrialist Navin Jindal, BJP MP and singer Manoj Tiwari, BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha and several other BJP leaders.

The suspended BJP MP, Kirti Azad, who’s currently launched a war against his party leader Arun Jaitley, could not make it but his wife was there to represent him.

Singer Malini Awasthi too was seen at the party.

Manoj Tiwari regaled the crowd in presence of Ajit Doval with his favourite numbers including his own rendition of Kumar Vishwas’ composition ‘Koi Deewana Kehta Hai.’

Tiwari was then joined by the birthday boy himself, who mesmerised the crowd with his first ever Pujabi track dedicated to Shahid Bhagat Singh.

While almost the entire Delhi cabinet and senior AAP leaders turned up, chief minister Arvind Kejriwal was conspicuous by his absence.

Kejriwal was the chief guest at Vishwas’ birthday party last year, as the poet celebrated the event soon after the election results were announced on 10 February.

Many guests were seen asking questions behind Kejriwal’s absence with some linking it to the presence of top BJP leaders.

But Vishwas’ friends rubbished the conspiracies theories.
