Uttar Pradesh man sets wife, 10-month-old son on fire because of extra-marital affair

In a gruesome incident in Uttar Pradesh’s Barabanki district, a man set his wife and 10-month-old baby on fire simply because she objected to the her husband’s extra-marital affair.

According to the local police, the wife, known as Rinku, had heated argument with her husband, Pinku Yadav, when she came to know about his ‘affair.’

Yadav, a resident of Rampur village in Barabanki, found this objection ‘unacceptable’ and went into a state of rage. Soon, he poured kerosene oil on his wife and the 10-month-old son before setting them on fire,

The baby died instantly while the wife is still battling for her life in a local hospital.

The police said that the mother and brother of the accused too had sustained injuries as they tried to save the victims, albeit unsuccessfully.

A case of murder has been registered against Yadav.
