Ranveer Singh’s 83 based on India’s World Cup glory in cricket has become one of the most talked about films in recent times. Veteran film actor Rajinikanth has also praised the film saying, “#83TheMovie wow what a movie… magnificent!!! Ranveer Singh is playing the role of Kapil Dev, who led the cricket team to a World Cup glory in 1983. His wife in real life, Deepika Padukone, is essaying the character of Kapil Dev’s wife Romi Bhatia.
Mirzapur actor Pankaj Tripathi is playing the character of PR Man Singh, a former cricketer and administrator, who appointed Kapil Dev as the captain of the Indian cricket team. Jiiva is seen as former India opener Krishnamachari Srikkanth, while Tahir Raj Bhasin is playing the role of Sunil Gavaskar, Saqib Saleem as Mohinder Amarnath, Chirag Patil as Sandeep Patil, Jatin Sarna as Yashpal Sharma, Harrdy Sandhu as Madan Lal and Ammy Virk as Balwinder Sandhu among others.
The film has been declared a commercial success at the box office. This has generated plenty of interests among cricket and Bollywood enthusiasts to find out more about the film. Many are wondering if the film has been released on any OTT platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, SonyLiv, Disney Hotstar, Zee 5 or AltBalaji.
The makers have not announced their intention to release the film on any OTT platforms yet. So the only place you can watch the film is theatres around you.

83 was first expected to hit cinemas in April 2020 but the first wave of the pandemic pushed its release date to December 2020. The film’s release was further postponed till June 2021, but India faced a devastating second wave of the pandemic during that time, thereby pushing its release date further. 83 was finally releases in cinemas on Christmas eve this year.
