The Taliban have denied reports that they had abducted 150 Indians from near Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul. This was immediately after several Indian media outlets claimed that more than 150 Indians had been abducted from outside the airport.
Local media outlet Kabul Now tweeted, “A Taliban spokesman, who spoke on condition of anonymity, rejected the allegations regarding abduction of more than 150 people, mostly Indian citizens, near Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul.”

India has evacuated many all its embassy staff after the Taliban took control of the government, but hundreds of Indians still remain in the country.
