KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal added 122 runs for the first wicket when they came to bat against Delhi Capital in the IPL on Sunday evening. But this wasn’t enough to stop their side’s defeat Delhi Capitals successfully chase the target by losing just four wickets with 10 balls to spare.
Batting first, Punjab Kings amassed 195-4 in 20 overs with Agarwal emerging as the top scorer with a knock of 69 runs that he scored by facing just 36 runs. Rahul made 61 in 51 balls.
Delhi Capitals began their run chase on an aggressive note as Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan began to hit Punjab bowlers without much difficulty all around the stadium. Shaw made 32 in 17 balls, but the hero of the match was Dhawan who played an impressive knock of 92 in 49 balls. He was unlucky to have missed out on his century by just eight runs after being bowled out by Jhye Richardson. However, Dhawan had done enough to secure a fine victory for his side.
