In an interview to the English news channel NDTV, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal accused the Lt.Governor of working on the behest of the Bharatiya Janata Party headed by PM Narendra Modi. Addressing the PM in an indirect manner, Arvind Kejriwal said, “I’m not Rahul Gandhi.”

The Delhi CM also stated that the BJP was scared of Delhi government and therefore trying to create obstacles in their ability to govern. Kejriwal said, “We are answerable to people of Delhi and hence we have the right to appoint our officers.”

“Lt. Governor wants to control us but we won’t allow that”, Kejriwal further added.

Speaking about his love-hate relationship with the media, CM Kejriwal said, “We need media, how can we be against them since it is the mode through which we communicate our message.”
When asked if the ongoing tussle had affected his government’s ability to govern, he said it had not affected them in any manner and they continue to work for the people of Delhi.
