Authorities in Russia have said that at least 41 people including two children were killed after an Aeroflot Sukhoi Superjet aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing at an airport in Moscow on Sunday.

The confirmation of 13 fatalities comes hours after the Russian authorities had said that all passengers and crew members had been evacuated safely.
Russia’s Interfax news agency reported that the crew issued a distress signal shortly after departure from Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport.
In one video, the plane was speeding away on the runway after making the emergency landing even as its rear side brunt in flames. In another video, frightened passengers were seen running for safety in desperation.
