Congress spokesperson Priyanka Chaturvedi on Wednesday took to social media to express her anguish against the party leadership for reinstating those leaders, who had misbehaved with her during a press conference on the Rafale deal in Mathura.
Taking to Twitter, Chaturvedi wrote, ‘Deeply saddened that lumpen goons get prefence (sic) in @incindia over those who have given their sweat&blood. Having faced brickbats&abuse across board for the party but yet those who threatened me within the party getting away with not even a rap on their knuckles is unfortunate.”

Chaturvedi was responding to one Vijay Laxmi Sharma, who had shared a letter, written on the letterhead of Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee. The letter said that following the intervention of Jyotiraditya Scindia, AICC General Secretary UP West, the party had withdrawn its disciplinary process against them. Those facing disciplinary action were Ashok Singh Chakleshwar, Umesh Pandit, Pratp Singh, Abdul Jabbar, Girdhari Lal Pathak, Moori Singh Jayas, Praveen Thakur and Yatindra Mukaddam.
Such public outbursts by a well known face of the Congress against her own leadership may not be a good news for the party right in the middle of the Lok Sabha polls.
