Donald Trump trended on internet on Thursday, once again for wrong reasons. This was after the US President addressed Apple CEO Tim Cook as Tim Apple. Cook, who was visiting Trump at the White House, was seated alongside Trump during a press meet when the US President said, “Time, You really put a big investment in our country. We appreciate it very much, Tim Apple.”
Cook did not react to Trump’s gaffe in front of cameras, but he appeared to have taken a potshot at the US President’s embarrassing gaffe later when he changed his name on Twitter from Tim Cook to Tim Apple.
His name on Twitter is now seen as Tim with a the Apple logo of his company.
Trump’s gaffe and Cook’s subsequent action have led Twitter to erupt with jokes and memes mocking the former.
Since Trump called him Tim Apple to his face, Tim Cook should just call him Donald Orange.
I mean, we’re not just comparing apples to oranges, right?

The best part of Tim Cook changing his Twitter name to Tim Apple is you can’t see the Apple unless you’re on iOS. pic.twitter.com/opk7HKPpRP

Meanwhile, political rivals of Indian Narendra Modi have mooted the idea of a similar name change for the Indian Prime Minister. Congress spokesperson Sanjay Jha tweeted, “Tim Apple. Should we have a name change here too; #NarendraRafale?”
Tim Apple. Should we have a name change here too; #NarendraRafale?
— Sanjay Jha (@JhaSanjay) March 8, 2019
Jha’s suggestion came in light of the Modi government making a stunning confession before the Supreme Court that key documents related to the Rafale deal had been stolen from the ministry of defence. Modi is facing serious allegations of financial irregularities in the fighter jet deal with France.
