A video of Rajsthan minister rebuking a corrupt policeman publicly for allegedly extorting money from villagers has gone viral on social media. In the video, Rajasthan’s Youth Affairs & Sports Minister Ashok Chandna is seen surrounded by villagers as he launches a tirade against policeman.
29-year-old Chandana is heard saying, “Om Prakash ji (policeman), I will send to work on toll booth. I know you collect Rs 100 each from poor people in the village. If I come to know that you are still extorting money from poor people here, then I will destroy your employment. You will end up destroying your life-long’s employment for your greed of Rs 50-Rs 100.”
The policeman is seen nodding his head in agreement when the minister reminds him that this is his last warning.
The minister has become hero on social media particularly on Twitter, where users are hailing him as a hero. One user wrote, “An ordinary citizen drawn strength by watching such acts of our politicians. Carry on.” Another user wrote, “Police men didn’t know that corrupt Modi BJP RSS Govt is thrown out from Rajasthan ….. he’s in the same old corrupt world.” “Bravo. The Police in undoubtedly Most Corrupt Institution in India. Police Reforms is Must,” commented another.

Rajasthan had elected a Congress government with Ashok Gehlot being elected as the new chief minister of the state. Sachin Pilot was appointed as the deputy chief minister of the state. The state was governed by BJP’s Vasundhara Raje between 2013 and 2018,
Chandana was elected from Bhilwara constituency in the last year’s assembly polls.
