Twitter is abuzz with all sorts of speculations after the WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange’s Twitter account suddenly disappeared from the social media platform sending his fans and followers into frenzy.
Assange’s account, @JulianAssange, is no more and the reason still remains unknown. A search on Twitter with his username says, ‘Sorry, that page doesn’t exist!’
Assange had not tweeted since Friday, reported some media outlets.
Some felt that the WikiLeaks founder, currently taking refuge in an embassy in London, had deleted the account of his own volition. However, other users speculated that Assange was taken out by Twitter as part of the social media platform’s recent purge of inflammatory posters, many on the far right, the report added.
Now why would @Twitter ban Julian Assange when he was prepping to drop something big? Who is @Twitter trying to protect by this drop of information?

#JulianAssange has been deleted off of twitter. Hey @twitter why dont you spend your time deleting ISIS twitter accounts? Or Muslim brotherhood accounts? No instead you delete the account of a person who has done nothing wrong.

While some suspected a link to the raids at his lawyer’s office few days ago and the disappearance of Assange’s Twitter account.

Others believed that it was a move to silence Assange ahead of a major revelation on the part of WikiLeaks, which has not yet commented on the matter.
