BJP-led central government’s decision to approach the Supreme Court over the Delhi High Court’s decision on the MHA notification has elicited sharp criticism from Aam Aadmi Party.

Reacting to this decision, AAP’s Raghav Chadha tweeted, ” First they said AAP is free to go to court, now themselves moving court to prove validity of their own notification.”

Twittratis too have joined the chorus with most users criticisng the central government’s decision.

Pro-AAP user @kapsology felt that this was an attempt to save a ‘corrupt’ head constable.

The tussle over the appointment of civil servants in the Delhi government dominated the speech of the CM Arvind Kejriwal’s speech in the assembly earlier today. Kejriwal said that his government was answerable to the people of the national capital and thus must be given the right to appoint officials according to its preference.

Central government filed a Special Leave Petition (SLP) on Wednesday in the registry of the apex court challenging May 25 order of the High Court which was hearing bail application of a Delhi Police constable arrested by ACB of Delhi Government on bribery charges.
