Actor Sonam Kapoor celebrated her 31st birthday on 9 June last week, when she was inundated with special wishes from family members and Bollywood friends.
Among those who sent her birthday greetings included her father, Anil Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan and Suniel Shetty.
Anil Kapoor wished his daughter with a sweet message where he called the Neerja actor his “warrior princess”.
“Happy birthday my warrior princess @sonamakapoor! Keep smiling, shine brighter, be happier! Love you beta!” wrote Anil.
Suniel Shetty tweeted, “Wish you a very very happy birthday @sonamakapoor …hope you touch many more hearts with good & meaningful cinema. Stay blessed!”
Sonam responded, “Thank you so so much!! Tons and tons of love.”

But her response to Suniel earned her ‘ire’ from the Hindi film industry’s megastar, Amitabh Bachchan, who told her that he had still not received any acknowledgment from the actor for his text message.
Bachchan wrote, “and what about ME .. this is Amitabh Bachchan my dear .. i sent you an sms on your birthday and you never replied ..aaarrrgghh !!”

A visibly embarrassed Sonam replied informing him that she had never received the senior Bachchan’s text message even though she had responded to Abhishek Bachchan’s wishes.
“Oh my god sir!! I didn’t get it!! I always reply!! Thank you so much! I got @juniorbachchan message ??? I’m so so sorry,” Sonam wrote.
