Few days ago, a photo of Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and the Netflix CEO went viral on social media platforms. This gave rise to plenty of speculation one of them being whether both Shah Rukh and Aamir were now planning to collaborate together.
However, the real reason behind this meeting is out. Entertainment portal, SpotboyE claims that the the meeting Shah Rukh Khan’s residence, Mannat, was to secure a deal for Netflix, which wants an exclusive deal of premiering all future movies of SRK and Aamir within six-eight weeks of their releases.
According to the portal, Netflix wants to buy the rights of all films of Shah Rukh and Aamir which hit theatres from now on. This means that you will see the films of these two Khans first on Netflix and not on Sony/Star/Colors/Zee.
Should the three parties ink the deal, it may not necessarily mean that channels can’t showcase their films in future. What it means that the interested channels will have to buy the rights from Netflix in future.
