The CBI on Tuesday arrested the TMC parliamentary party leader in Lok Sabha Sudip Bandopadhyay in connection with Rose Valley scam.
Meanwhile, NDTv reported that a BJP office in Kolkata was attacked Bandopadhyay’s arrest.
Bandopadhyay, who arrived at the CBI office in Kolkata at around 11 AM, was subjected to more than four hours of intensive interrogation by CBI, after which he was arrested.

On reaching the CBI office today, Bandopadhyay told waiting reporters that he had come to face interrogation and know what the charges were against him.
On 30 December, the federal investigating agency had arrested another TMC leader Tapas Pal for his alleged involvement in the Rose Valley Chit Fund Scam.
Later Pal had dragged Union Minister Babul Supriyo’s name into the graft case.
“I am innocent. I am in no way involved in the scam and the truth will come to the fore soon. I have taken the name of Babul Supriyo and names of some other persons (before CBI).The truth will come out,” Paul told reporters while he was being taken for interrogation by CBI on a three-day remand.
