BJP MP and former actor, Shatrughan Sinha, on Friday extended his explicit support to Kirti Azad in the latter’s campaign against the corruption in DDCA.

Speaking to reporters outside the parliament, Sinha described Azad as an honourable man with impeccable integrity.

He said, ” I like Kirti Azad and respect his entire family. His father Bhagwat Jha Azad was one of India’s most honest, capable and renowned chief ministers. Kirti Azad himself has had a great track record. He’s a great human being. I also know that when Kirti Azad speaks, he does so with a lot of responsibility.”

On the allegations against Jaitley, he said that it was important ‘we had the clarity’ on truth and how it was perceived outside.

He said, “Honesty and transparency must go together. If some people have raised questions, then ‘saanch ko aanch kya.’ We must have investigation by experts. It will be good for both, those who have made allegations and those who are in the dock.”

On Wednesday, Sinha had announced his support for Delhi chief minister Kejriwal on the raging row over the CBI raids at the latter’s office.

Calling Kejriwal “masses’ favourte and popular” chief minister, the Bollywood actor-turned-politician had questioned the timing of the raid. In a series of tweets posted on early Wednesday morning, Sinha called the move ill-advised.

Taking a dig at PM Narendra Modi, Sinha said that Kejriwal ought to avoided using harsh words for ‘dynamic action hero PM.’
