The woman accused of honey-trapping a BJP MP, KC Patel, has broken her silence alleging that the lawmaker had raped her.
This was after cops in Delhi begun looking for a ‘high-profile’ woman, who is alleged to have honey-trapped Patel before blackmailing him for ‘Rs 5 crore’ ransom.
A report in Times of India had said that the woman, believed to be a part of a gang, threatened the MP of releasing his photos and videos if her demands were not met.
Delhi Police’s special commissioner, Mukesh Meena had confirmed the development but refused to name the MP because of his high stature in society. Meena said that police had launched a probe and arrests were likely soon.
Speaking to Aaj Tak, the woman said that Patel had raped her on several occasions by using threats and intimidation.
The woman, who is a lawyer by profession, said that Patel had called her to his 604, Narmada Apartment for a case currently being heard by the Supreme Court.
According to the woman, the BJP MP said, “You don’t know. We have governments in Gujarat, at the Centre and now even in Uttar Pradesh. I will do whatever I wish.”
She alleged that Patel had visited her at her Ghaziabad residence on the pretext of having dinner but coerced her to indulge in sexual act. It was on 28 March, according to the woman, when she made secretly recorded her sexual encounter with the MP.
She reportedly told the MP, “You’ve exploited me enough. Now I will lodge a police complaint against you.”
She said that on 15 April she approached the police to file a complaint against Patel, but the cops did not register her complaint.
Delhi’s Patiala House Court had sought a report from North Avenue Police Station on allegations that the BJP MP from Gujarat, KC Ptael, had raped a lawyer at his house while threatening to kill the ‘victim.’
According to ToI report it was said the MP had recently visited the woman’s house in Ghaziabad after ‘she invited him for help.’
Upon arrival, the report further added that Patel was drugged before his photos with girls were taken in objectionable position.
Delhi Police reports to the BJP-led central government.
Cops said that they were treating the case with utmost seriousness and this may soon be handed over to the Crime Branch.
