Delhi chief minister announces Rs 1 crore cash compensation for murdered honest NDMC officer

Delhi chief minister, Arvind Kejriwal on Friday announced a cash compensation of Rs 1 crore for the family of the honest NDMC officer, SH Khan, who was murdered for not bowing to corrupt businessman allegedly enjoying blessings of a BJP leader.

Kejriwal tweeted, “Though loss can’t be compensated, Del govt will pay Rs 1 cr to his family as mark of respect.”

In anothet tweet, the Delhi chief minister said that he had visited the family of the slain ‘honest officer.’

He wrote, “Visited the family of Sh Khan, the honest NDMC officer, who was murdered bcoz he refused to budge to illicit demands.”

Murder of the honest NDMC officer had taken a new twist on Thursday after it emerged that the civic body’s vice-chairman Karan Singh Tanwar had written to LG Najeeb Jung asking for his transfer.
