AAP leaders on Tuesday had alleged that some unidentified government officials had attacked Ashish Khetan and Imran Husain, a cabinet minister in the Kejriwal government. Khetan had sought time with Rajnath Singh, but the home minister reportedly declined his request.
The video of some unidentified persons at Delhi’s Secretariat chanting ‘maro, maro (beat him up)’ had gone viral on social media platforms. Husain had later filed a police complaint with the Indraprastha Police station alleging that the government officers had held him captive inside the government officers.
Husain’s complain had said, “Today when I was about to enter the secretariat building, some government staff approached me and said that they had been told to avenge the attack on the chief secretary by teaching AAP MLAs and ministers a lesson… They held me captive in the lift, beat me up and even threatened to kill me. They also destroyed my mobile phone.”
