If you thought IAS Topper Tina Dabi was going to slip into oblivion now that her training is over and she’s joined the services, think again. The UPSC topper in 2016 is keeping her fans informed about her movements through her social media page, which has amassed a fan base of over 1,65 lakh.
Tina arrived in Maharashtra’s Aurangabad and posted a photo of an Indo-German technology centre, being run by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises of the Narendra Modi government. She wrote, “At Indo-German Technology Centre, Aurangabad. Had a great time learning about the manufacturing and training imparted by this Tool Room. The Aurangabad Centre is one of the best among the 18 Tool Centres across India under the umbrella of Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Govt of India.”

She then posted a series of photo from Ellora with no caption. In the photos, Dabi is seen wearing a traditional but simple salwar suit. Her fans, mostly from Maharashtra, instantly welcome her for being in their state. One fan wrote, “Welcome in Maharashtra Mam.” Other wrote, “Nice to see u in Aurangabad mam.”
Then there were many who complimented the IAS topper for looking ‘gorgeous’ and ‘pretty.’ One fan in particular, Poulomi Warrier asked, “How can u be so pretty after long day work.” Dabi didn’t ignore her comments and responded, “Hahaha, thank you! The weather here, at present, is so soothing and pleasant that one looks good spirited even after the day’s work.” This prompted one fan to conclude, “Ur smile is magnificent maam hardly seen your any picture without that.”
Dabi had recently praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Sharing a group photo with him, Dabi had written, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji addressed our batch yesterday. It was a great experience listening to him and knowing his views about how he expects the new batches of IAS to work for the country.”
Tina has been creating quite of lot of buzz on social media since her announcement to marry fellow topper Athar Aamir Ul Shafi Khan. Both had recently flown to London earlier this month to complete their final leg of IAS training programme before taking charge of their respective cadres as civil servants. While in London, she also made it a point to shut up a troll, who criticised her for enjoying a foreign trip at the expense of taspayers’ money.
