Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Tuesday struggled to convince the protesting Jats and was heckled, his convoy stopped and was shown black flags at him.
But, he may have found an ally in Bollywood actor from Haryana Mallika Sherawat, who on Tuesday urged the agitating Jat community to maintain peace and non-violence.
She tweeted, “My appeal to the Jaat community to maintain peace and nonviolence (sic).”

Hundred of Jat protesters have been protesting demanding reservation under the OBC category in government jobs and educational institutions.
The reservation stir has left more than 12 people dead and over 200 injured.
The actress, 39, was last seen on screen in the 2015 film “Dirty Politics”.
The protesters had attacked the house of BJP MP Raj Kumar Saini, set BJP minister Captain Abhimanyu’s house besides damaging and burning many other government and private buildings, shops and vehicles.
The state government was forced to call in the army, whose firing resulted in several deaths in Jhajjar, as reported by several media outlets.
