Disha Patanai has become one of the most promising Bollywood actresses in Bollywood. The actor recently bagged a meaty role in Salman Khan’s next big project Bharat. Disha, who’s rumoured to be in a relationship with Tiger Shroff, has also often courted controversies with her choice of attire.
Last month, she was subjected to incessant trolling after she posted a bold photo of herself in a black net monokini. Even though this was not the first time she had posed in a black monokini, her latest photo instantly raised the temperature on Instagram and Twitter, where trolls targeted her for choosing to pose in ‘inappropriate’ clothes.
She then dominated media headlines after a few Hindi newspapers alleged that she had refused to act opposite Hrithik Roshan in a film by Yashraj Films because the latter had indulged in flirtatious behaviour with her. While Disha denied the allegations, Hrithik had chosen to publicly name and shame the media houses in question for the ‘fake story.’
Disha on Thursday posted a photo in red underwear on Instagram, setting the photo-sharing platform on fire. The photo, which had no caption except a flower emoticon, evoked plenty of reactions on Instagram. Within hours of Disha posting the photo, it received close to one million likes and thousands of comments. An overwhelming majority of the users criticised the actress for posing in was thought to be her ‘undergarments’ with many calling it against the Indian culture.
One user Aarushi Malhotra wrote, “This is not good mam. Please respect Indian culture.” Another user PRK Singh commented, “She doesn’t have money to buy clothes.” “Please don’t share this type of adult picture,” commented another follower. Many users wondered what had happened to Disha. User Vartika asked, “Isn’t she exposing too much for some time now?”

Disha on Saturday had angered many fans after she attempted to imitate India’s winking sensation, Priya Prakash Varrier. In the photo (see below), Disha was seen wearing an identical school uniform, worn by Priya in her upcoming love drama, Oru Adaar Love. Priya’s winking scene, many felt was shot aesthetically in the film, however many pointed out that Disha had spoiled her own attempts with horrible facial expressions.
Priya had faced the wrath of religious fundamentalists after her winking scene became viral. However, the Supreme Court recently gave her a huge relief by dismissing a petition filed by a Muslim group, which said that the picturisation of the song on Priya had hurt the religious sentiments of the community.
