However, soon it emerged that the organisers had dropped the idea of going for real-life couples theme since their asking fees were exorbitant. So, the latest news is that Colors has decided to go for individual stars and commoners, who may be paired under a newly developed theme vichitra jodis (Unusual couples).
One of the stars, reported to have already confirmed her participation, is Sasural Simar Ka fame actress Dipika Kakar. Dipika, who got married to Shaoiab Ibrahim, has reportedly agreed to the enter the house on 16 September, when the popular reality TV show is formally launched.
According to some reports, Dipika has sacrificed her honeymoon for the reality show. Had the couple entered the Bigg Boss house together, this would have been their second reality TV show after they Nach Baliye, a dance competition, which they took part as a real-life couple before their wedding.
This year, the contestants will reportedly be paired in jodis and kept in two different houses with housemates being unaware of their existence. The show’s launch date has been advanced this year. The show will commence on 16 September and culminate some time in December, giving way to another reality show, Khatron Ke Khiladi, which has already been shot in Argentina.
