Abhishek Bachchan may have been happily married to former beauty queen and actor Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. But, this did not recently stop him from asking actress Taapsee Pannu to spell out her choice for husband material.
It so happened that filmmaker Anurag Basu recently tweeted how his upcoming film Manmarziyaan was set to be premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. Kashyap tweeted, “Manmarziyaan aka “Husband Material” premieres at TIFF before releasing on the 21st September.”
This prompted Taapsee to immediately reply sarcastically, “Husband material !!!! Like seriously.” It was at this junction, when Abhishek Bachchan joined in the conversation and decided to put Taapsee in a spot. He asked, “Question is kaun???? @vickykaushal09 ya main….Or….. @anuragkashyap72.” Not to be embarrassed by Abhishek, Taapsee replied that she knew exactly who was not a husband material among the three choices given by Abhishek Bachchan. She wrote, “Hahahahaha! I think out of these options I know is NOT a husband material definitely.”
Directed by Anurag Kashyap, Manmarziyaan stars Abhishek Bachchan, Vicky Kaushal and Taapsee Pannu among others.
Abhishek was recently in news after he lashed out at a website for carrying a fake news about a public fight between him and Aishwarya outside the Mumbai airport after their return from Paris. The report by the website had said that Aishwarya was so upset with Abhishek that she didn’t let him to hold daughter Aaradhya Bachchan’s hand at the airport.
Reacting angrily, Abhishek had written, “With due respect. Please refrain from making up false stories. I understand the need to continuously post, but would really appreciate it if you could do so responsibly and without mischievous intent. Thank you.”
Earlier this week, Abhishek shut up a troll, who had asked him how he could afford an expensive foreign holiday when he hadn’t acted in any films for the last three years. Abhishek had responded, “Because, sir, I have several other businesses that I run apart from acting and producing movies. Sports being just one of them.”
