Did Hina Khan really commit fraud worth Rs 12 lakh?


Former Bigg Boss contestant and model Hina Khan has found herself in news almost regularly since she left the reality TV show, Bigg Boss earlier this year. She’s either getting trolled for her perceived inappropriate clothes or hurting religious sentiments of Muslims.

More recently, the model-actor was in news for her debut music video, Bhasoodi, which the actor announced had been viewed by more than 5.5 million people on the internet.

Hina had then posted video of her catch up with former Bigg Boss housemates including Priyank Sharma and Luv Tyagi.

Now the Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai fame actor has found herself in real spot of bother after a jewellery brand accused her of fraud of Rs 12 lakh. According to a report by Indian News TV channel, a jewellery brand accused Hina of not returning the jewellery worth Rs 12 Lakh after the event. The company, said the TV report, has given Hina 15 days to return the jewellery or face legal action.

Making light of the said media report, Hina tweeted, “LOL???wonder why this legal notice did not reach my house and instead reached all the media houses..??? sorry haters this tactic will not work.. try something new.. bhassodi will still shine.”

Hina was accused of wearing borrowed clothes on Bigg Boss show after a designer, identified as Neerushaa Nikhat, had tweeted making his claims public. His tweet, now deleted, aimed at Hina and her co-actor Rohan Mehra from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, had read, “My dear @rohan4747 @eyehinakhan style icon 150 night suit 50 pair shoes 100 dresses wow, so maang maang ke to koi bhi icon ban jayega Thnks god I refused to give my stuff hence I wud have life time regret.” (sic)

The TV channel that first aired the report on the legal notice has defended its report and even showed the copies of the notice with Hina’s address on it. Meanwhile, her music video has already clocked 8 million views on internet.
