Kangana Ranaut has been controversy’s best child. Whether it’s her public spat with Hrithik Roshan or insane statement justifying mob lynchings, she has often been in news for wrong reasons.
After her full-blown bust up with Hrithik Roshan over her sensational claims of having an affair, the Queen actor has now rubbed Sonu Sood up the wrong way.
It all started with Sonu walking off Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi after being asked to reshoot his portions allegedly by Kangana. Sonu, who has worked the industry’s top names including Salman Khan, could not oblige Kangana’s request as he found it deeply insulting and also because he had already started filming his next film Simmba, directed by Rohit Shetty. Whilst Sonu’s already shot scenes in Manikarnika had his character clean shaven, the Dabangg actor had already grown beard for his Simmba role.
To avoid bad press all over again, Kangana issued a statement clarifying her stand. However, even in her clarification has posed several questions on her version of the story.
Indian Express quoted Kangana Ranaut as saying, “Sonu and I haven’t even met since the last shot with Krish (director) last year. He is busy filming Simmba. He couldn’t even give us tentative dates to match combinations with other actors. The producers showed him the film and writers narrated the patchwork to him. He refused to meet me. He vehemently denied to work under a woman director, which is kind of amusing because Sonu is a dear friend and I have even launched the music of a film that he produced at his request.”
So, Kangana said that she ‘never’ met Sonu and he being a dear friend, whose music she had launched in the same same statement. Did she launch the music without meeting him? And what kind of person can be called a dear friend, who one has never met, as claimed by Kangana. The photo above conclusively proves that Kangana never met Sonu Sood.
Kangana said that none of the portions shot by Sonu will be used in the film. She said, “Yes, none of the portions he has shot before will be used because he has spiked hair with gel. So, the new team of DOP, editors and our writers of Manikarnika have discarded those scenes. I have to shoot all of that anyway. So, it’s easy to get another actor on board. Who keeps spiked hair for a period film?”
Kangana had angered many activists and intellectuals recently after the video of the actress allegedly justifying mob lynching while slamming India’s liberal class went viral. Both Kangana and self-proclaimed godman, Sadhguru, had faced incessant trolling because of their seemingly insane comments.
Kangana was also in news recently after reports emerged that she may contest the next Lok Sabha elections from Himachal Pradesh on the BJP ticket.
