Bollywood superstar and Kaun Banega Crorepati host Amitabh Bachchan on Monday night showered praises on Sara Ali Khan for her acting skills and achieving recognition for herself in a relatively short time. He also went on to speak in detail about the disciplined lifestyle of Akshay Kumar.
Sara’s mention on the show came after a contestant from Bihar was asked to identify the mother of an actress, whose photo was displayed on the screen. The question read, “Which actress is the mother of the actress seen in this image?” The options were Bhagyashree, Meenakshi Seshadri, Amrita Singh and Padmini Kolhapure. The correct answer was Amrita Singh, who is Sara Ali Khan’s mother. Amrita is the former wife of Saif Ali Khan, who later married Kareena Kapoor Khan and has a son, Taimur, from her.
Bachchan informed the contestant that Sara Ali Khan had made her Bollywood debut with film Kedarnath. The film also starred Sushant Singh Rajput in a lead role. “She (Sara) is also acting in many more films. She’s acted beautifully and she has my best wishes,” Bachchan added.
Later in the programme, Bachchan also said that he was incredibly impressed with Akshay Kumar’s discipline in life. This was after the Bollywood megastar played audio of Akshay and asked his contestant to identify the actor. As expected, the contestant from Hyderabad had little trouble in recognising the voice. In the audio, Akshay was heard explaining how he went to bed early and regularly woke up by 4 in the morning.
Responding to the content of the audio, Bachchan said, “Akshay Kumar lives his life with discipline. He goes to bed early and he wakes up early too. He is always up by 4 AM.”
When the contestant asked him if he was also an early riser, the KBC host said, “When I want to rise early I do that and when I have to be late, I do that too. I don’t have a fixed routine.”
He continued, “For example, today I am late so I will become a night person (will go to bed late). If I have to report to work tomorrow early, then I will become a morning person.”
This year’s Kaun Banega Crorepati has seen Bachchan open up about his thoughts on other actors and actresses including his own daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, wife Jaya Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
