Unfazed by the Delhi Police’s raids on its offices in Delhi and Gurgaon on Monday, social media giant Twitter on Tuesday also declared a tweet by BJP’s Raman Singh on the Toolkit controversy as ‘manipulated media.’ This prompted Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel to take a dig at his predecessor.

Sharing the screenshot of Raman Singh’s ‘manipulated media’ tweet, Baghel wrote in Hindi, “Twitter has tagged the alleged toolkit shared by Dr. Raman Singh as manipulated media now. Truth doesn’t fear anyone. The Sanghi lesson of repeating a lie a thousand times to make it sound like the truth won’t work anymore.”

Earlier, Twitter had declared BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra’s tweet on the Toolkit controversy as ‘manipulated media. Days later, the social media giant had included several other BJP functionaries in this hall of shame. They included Charu Pragya, Sunil Deodhar and Priti Gandhi.

The Special Cell of the Delhi Police had sensationally conducted raids at the offices of Twitter in Delhi and Gurgaon on Monday. This, according to several media reports, was to understand the reason behind Twitter declaring BJP leaders’ tweets as ‘manipulated media.’ However, Delhi Police officials were left disappointed as they did not find anyone at Twitter offices as most employees are working from home due to the lockdown.
