The mother of Bhavna Arora, who shot to fame by throwing ink at Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday, has revealed that her daughter had asked her watch news on TV before she left home.

“My daughter is a social activist but I must admit she is a bit short-tempered girl. On Sunday, before she left home, she insisted that I watch the news channels that day. But I had no idea she had planned to throw ink at Delhi chief minister,”  Bhavna’s mother Laxmi Devi was quoted by Bhaskar news.

Devi said that her daughter had been trying to meet Kejriwal to raise the issue of alleged CNG sticker scam involving one of his ministers. She said what Bhavna did was wrong but she will stand by her daughter.

A Delhi court on Monday had sent Bhavna to one night of police custody.

Meanwhile, details have emerged that Kejriwal’s PA had allegedly asked the police personal to leave the stage minutes before the Delhi chief minister was attacked with ink during a thanks-giving rally at Chhatrasal stadium in the capital.

A newspaper reported that how members of Kejriwal’s security team had reportedly complained to Delhi police that he often left for unknown placed without keeping his security team in the loop.
