Member of Parliament from the ruling BJP, Babulal, has defended the hate speech given by him and the junior education minister in Narendra Modi’s government threatening to kill Muslims on Sunday.

Babulal told the news agency ANI, “People of other communities can do anything and we will stay quiet? Jab sarey aam Hindu samaaj ke upar goli se hatya kii ja rhi hai, toh samaj ikhatta nhi hoga toh kahan jayga? Badla nahi lenge to kya aarti utaarenge unki? (When Hindu society is being attacked with bullets, then what option is Hindu community left with than to unite? If we don’t take revenge then should we worship them?)”

Mahaur was allegedly killed by Muslims.

Among those who attended the meet were India’s junior education minister, Ram Shankar Katheria and Fatehpur Sikri MP Babu Lal.

Katheria taunted the administration by implying that he was capable of teaching Muslims a lesson even though he had become a minister.

He was quoted by Indian Express, “The administration might think that main to mantri ho gaya, haath bandh gaye (that because I’m a minister, my hands are tied).”

Katheria’s said the community needed to make themselves powerful to be able to eliminate killers of Hindus themselves.
