Days after a college student was kidnapped in broad daylight in Haryana’s Gurgaon, a minor girl studying in 9th standard was allegedly abducted and gangraped in Rohtak in a moving car.

Medical examination of the victim has confirmed the crime and police has lodged a complaint under rape and Posco act.

According to media reports, the girl was on her way to tuition classes when two people abducted her and raped her for six hours in the moving car. The accused kept driving the car on the outskirts of the city.

The victim was left by the accused at around 10:30 in the night. The police is yet to arrest the alleged rapists.

The rise in crime against women in Haryana comes after the Manohar Lal Khattar government’s high-profile publicity campaign on its first anniversary flaunting the ‘considerable improvement’ in the women safety in the state.
