Sonia Razdan recently opened up about her past when she was pregnant with her daughter Alia Bhatt and how she ended up smoking too many cigarettes in her pregnancy.
Reacting to a social media post on 1993 film Gumrah starring Sridevi and Sanjay Dutt, Soni wrote, “One of my favourite films and highly appreciated roles. Was such a pleasure to act with the incredible Sridevi. Highly cherished memories. Was also pregnant with Alia at the time and didn’t know it yet. And did that scene where I smoked soooo many cigarettes.”

No sooner did she share her experience of shooting for Gumrah, many Twitterati recalled their own experiences of witnessing Soni Razdan in a powerful role. One user recalled, “It was heart wrenching when police shoots u and ur brother in the film ? You were great in the movie.” Another commented, “That scene where they take you for your execution & the last min exchange with @SrideviBKapoor still makes one’s hair stand up! You need to act in more movies! #StillMissSridevi.”
Soni has been very active on social media with fiercely sharing her views on political matters lately. Reacting to another incident of terrorism by so-called cow vigilantes in the Congress-ruled Madhya Pradesh, Soni had said, “This country is going to the gutters. Going to the dogs is not at all apt. Firstly dogs love humans. Can’t say the same for this variety of human can you ???”
