The graphic shared by Sofia on Instagram featured word ‘Russia’ crossed out and replaced with ‘Putin’ as it read, “Putin wants a war with Ukraine.’

The text underneath read, “The biggest and most successful lie of Kremlin’s propaganda is that most Russians stand with Putin.”

The original post updated on Sofia’s Instagram story was shared by anti-war page ‘Russia Reality.’ It had written on Instagram, “Since the western media has been talking a lot lately about the fact that Putin wants to invade Ukraine or something, which is totally nuts, thought it might be good to remind that Russia is not Putin, and that he and his friends are occupiers and don’t represent the Russians because Putin has won an election AT MOST like ONCE in all history, and that was a long time ago, so no talks about true legitimacy.”

Sofia’s billionaire father has come under sharp scrutiny for his alleged dealings with Putin after the latter attacked Ukraine. Last week, a prominent opposition MP in the UK, questioned how the Russian billionaire could be allowed to own a prominent football club in the country.

Speaking in the British parliament, Labour MP Chris Bryant had said, “As part of HMG’s Russia strategy aimed at targeting illicit finance and malign activity, Abramovich remains of interest to HMG due to his links to the Russian state and his public association with corrupt activity and practices’.”

Abramovich bought Chelsea in 2003 and has led the club to achieve their most successful period in history. Chelsea are the reigning Champions League champions. They also became the champions of the world recently.
