Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday lashed out at senior journalist Shekhar Gupta calling him a broker for Narendra Modi government.
Reacting to Gupta’s tweet critical of Kejriwal, the Delhi chief minister said, “If you want to do politics, then come out openly. First you worked as a broker for Congress and now for Modi. Such people have added filth to the profession of journalism.”
राजनीति करनी है, खुल कर सामने आओ। पहले कांग्रिस की दलाली करते थे, अब मोदी की? ऐसे लोगों ने पत्रकारिता को गंदा किया https://t.co/N5Bj2Xf5hB

An angry Kejriwal didn’t stop here. In his next tweet he called Modi Gupta’s new master and asked him to comment on the prime minister’s frequent foreign visits.
He said, “Also speak few words on your master, who’s on his way to conquer the world.”
दो शब्द अपने मालिक के बारे में भी बोल दो जो दुनिया conquer करने चले हैं? https://t.co/N5Bj2Xf5hB

Gupta had earlier taken a dig at Kejriwal expressing his concern over the ‘1st malaria death in 5 years’ in Delhi.
He had tweeted, “1st malaria deaths in 5 yrs, 1st Chikungunya death now. While Delhi govt safely out conquering Punjab, Goa & Gujarat.”
Some reports said that the said ‘1st’ malaria related death was of the patient who was brought from Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad and he wasn’t a Delhi resident.
No sooner had Kejriwal finished with his tirade against the former editor-in-chief of the Indian Express, his supporters began slamming the journalist for his other controversial tweets.
Here are those tweets and notable reactions:
