The department functioning under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has decided to issue web-based cards instead of smart cards. So in a case of transfer from one location to other, the concerned person will not be needed to provide the hard copy of his details as every detail will be part of the online database.
Officials say that these proposed ID cards would resolve problems of duplication and fraudulent disability certificates that are being issued and causing problems.
