Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has alleged that Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash had refused to accept files related to the annual budget.
“It is extremely shocking that barely a few days ahead of the Delhi Budget, the Chief Secretary on Sunday refused to accept important files containing comments of the Chief Minister in preparation of the annual Budget speech,” Kejriwal was quoted by IANS.
Kejriwal said that the files were related to fixing accountability in setting up of Mohalla and Polyclinics, the key health priority sectors of the Delhi government.
“This year, the Delhi government will introduce an innovative concept in Budget making. For most of the big projects, specific milestones and timelines will be presented before the Assembly to make the Delhi government more accountable to the Assembly,” the news agency further quoted Kejriwal as saying.
Meanwhile, the Delhi High Court on Monday granted bail to AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan in connection with the alleged assault on Prakash. Another AAP MLA, Prakash Jarwal, was granted bail in the same case last week. Both were arrested by the Delhi Police on 21 February before being sent to judicial custody.
Prakash had alleged that he was assaulted on the midnight of 19 February at Kejriwal’s house.
